How to clean your home's carpet
When you want to get your carpets clean, you have to use hot water to clean it really well so it will get all the dirt and all of the other nasty things out of it. You can use a carpet cleaner, foam cleaner, or you can wash it with a rag. All carpets have to be cleaned when they get dirty or when something spills on it. It makes your house look better, and it also helps to stop water damage and mold from growing.
When you use a carpet cleaner, it will spray hot water on your carpet to get deep down in your carpet and clean it. It also helps the dirt and grime come up so you can vacuum it up. It scrubs the carpet with the rolling brush that is inside of it, getting deep in it and moving all the dirt up with the chemicals in the water. You have to let it set in for a few minutes for it to work. Then all you have to do is put it in reverse so it can lift the water out of the carpet and get all the dirt and the other stuff out. It will leave it clean and will restore your carpet to its original color, even if it was white. But you have to make sure you get all the chemicals out because it can leave some of it behind, which can be harmful to you, your family, and your pets. You have to keep on vacuuming it over and over again to make sure it is all out so you don't breathe it in.
If you use a foam cleaner, then you need to make sure your kids and your pets are out of the room so the chemicals will not hurt them. The foam comes in a can, and you have to spray it on the carpet. A white foam will appear on your carpet, getting deep in it and breaking up the dirt and the grime from the carpet. It will be toxic from all the fumes, and it will be bad for you to breathe in. You will need to wear a mask and some gloves to protect your skin because it can get irritated due to all the chemicals in it.
When you wash it with your rag, you have to scrub it really well to get everything that is in it out. You have to be sure that you get all the water out from the carpet or you can have water damage done to it. You need to have a vacuum that is strong enough to suck up the water in your carpet, or you might have a problem with mold development in the future.
