What To Do About Water Garden Algae
As a beginner, you will want to take the following information into consideration and you will also want to make sure that you take certain steps to help prevent algae growth. You will want to make sure that you keep a close eye on your pond and look for signs of algae build up.
The first thing that you will need to know are the signs that you’ll need to look for when it comes to dealing algae problems and how to deal with algae. You may find that the beginning signs of algae will consist of things like cloudy water or slimy water or the walls of the pond will be slimy. You will find that all you have to do is test the water, give the pond a good cleaning, and add some water chemicals to the pond and the problem is solved.
However, if you are allowing the first signs to build into something else, you will begin to notice a green or brownish growth on the floor of the pond and on the walls of the pond. You will then need to scrap the sides of the pond.
You will then need to give the pond a good cleaning, which means you may need to remove the fish for awhile in order to properly clean without hurting them. You will also want to add some chemicals that will be save for your garden and the live that you have in your garden.
As for algae prevention, you will want to keep in mind that there are many things that you can do without having to worry about the presents of algae signs. You will be able to save yourself a lot of trouble by purchasing a water test kit.
With the water test kit you will want to test the levels of your pond. If the levels of the pond are not right where you need them then you will need to add chemicals to the pond. As for the chemicals that you add into the pond you will need to make sure that they are save for your fish and your plant life.
If you clean your pond every now and then and then you take your time to care for your pond by testing the water every now and then, you’ll be able to keep your pond algae free.
